A family trip to Paris was not exactly something that Himeno was used to. Rich people were certainly weird. Part of her had wanted to stay home. She had to fight Fenril, she had he plant to take care of, she had school...but... it was the first time that her step mother had actually invited her to be part of a family anything. And she wanted to belong. So desperately wanted to belong.
Her knights promised that they could teleport her back to Japan whenever Fenril attacked. And that Shin would watch over her plant. And Hayate thought that she was an idiot for going. Which of course had decided her in the end. She could so do her duties as Pretear and still be part of her family, she'd show that stuck up arrogant jerk!
The Limos rolled up to the hotel in Paris where they would be staying, and Himeno looked up, awed despite herself. It was huge. Almost as large as the estate - which frankly was way too large for a family of five, but made it easy for her to hide seven knights....
Speaking of Knights, her eye caught a glimpse of white on the roof of the Hotel. Sasame. She'd be fine. They could do this. She wasn't alone. She was fine.
Even if she had ridden in the limo that was otherwise filled with staff - like the maid Mikage, and the driver Tanaka - she was still coming from the airport in a limo. How cool was that? She didn't even care that she looked scruffy enough to be staff herself.
Her stepsister Mayune, however, was less impressed....
Mayune stepped out of the limo she had shared with her sister, her mother and... that man. She had managed to ignore him most of the time, by planning how she was going to make Himeno's life miserable. Her sister had been lost in her tapes, her mother and that man lost in each other's eyes. So she had been glad to get out and stretch her legs... until she saw the hotel.
Oh no way! They expected her to stay in this dump? No way. She turned to her mother. "I want to go home, this place is a pit!"
"We are staying here for now, enjoy it."
Fury filled her and she turned, leaving the staff to handle her bags as she stalked off, looking for a place to vent her fury... and perhaps someone to vent it on. Or a cute guy. She'd accept a hot Paris dude.
